The life
Aditya Vikram Birla was an Indian industrialist and philanthropist from the Birla business family.
After studying chemical engineering at MIT, he returned to India and expanded the group into textiles, petrochemicals, telecommunications and overseas manufacturing.
He died in 1995 after prostate cancer, after which his son Kumar Mangalam Birla took charge of the group.
