The life

Margaret Thatcher was a British Conservative politician and chemist by training. She entered Parliament for Finchley in 1959, became Conservative Party leader in 1975, and served as Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990.

Her governments pursued privatization, limits on trade-union power, monetarist economic policies, and a firm foreign policy, including the Falklands War. She later entered the House of Lords and died in London in 2013.
