The life

Olivia de Havilland was an actress born in Tokyo to British parents and later associated with British, American and French citizenship.

She became known through adventure films with Errol Flynn and received an Academy Award nomination for Gone with the Wind before winning two Best Actress Oscars for To Each His Own and The Heiress.

Her 1940s lawsuit against Warner Bros. produced the de Havilland Law, and she continued to receive major honours into her later life, including the National Medal of Arts, the Légion d'honneur and a DBE.
