The life
Timothy West was an English actor whose career spanned theatre, film, television, radio and audiobooks from the 1950s to 2024.
He was associated with the Royal Shakespeare Company, played King Lear multiple times, and became widely known on screen for Edward the Seventh, Brass, Bedtime, Coronation Street and EastEnders.
West was appointed CBE for services to drama and was married to actress Prunella Scales from 1963 until his death in 2024.
